The General Secretariat of the League of Arab States inaugurated the Arab Common Electricity Market in a historic event that underscores the depth of joint Arab cooperation in the energy sector. The occasion took place during the 15th session of the Arab Ministerial Council for Electricity, attended by the Ministers of Electricity and Energy from Jordan, Bahrain, Tunisia, Syria, Palestine, Lebanon, and Egypt. The launch of the Arab Common Electricity Market marks a strategic milestone in advancing Arab integration in the electricity sector. The agreement was signed by the United Arab Emirates, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the Republic of Sudan, the Syrian Arab Republic, the State of Palestine, the State of Qatar, the State of Kuwait, the State of Libya, the Arab Republic of Egypt, the Kingdom of Morocco, and the Republic of Yemen.
