General Secretariat organises First Arab Conference on Development of Agricultural Exports in Light of GAFTA Advantages

​In alignment with the General Secretariat of the League of Arab States' commitment to advancing inter-Arab trade, particularly in agricultural exports, and in furtherance of the "Supporting the Arab Economic Integration System" project under the second phase of the Aid for Trade Programme (AFTIAS 0.2), funded by the International Islamic Trade Finance Corporation (ITFC), the Economic Affairs Sector—Arab Economic Integration Department—hosted the "First Arab Conference on the Development of Agricultural Exports in Light of the Advantages Granted within the Framework of the Greater Arab Free Trade Area." General Secretariat holds 14th Arab Conference on Blood Transfusion Medicine

​The General Secretariat of the League of Arab States (Social Affairs Sector - Health and Humanitarian Aid Department - Technical Secretariat of the Council of Arab Health Ministers) organised the 14th Arab Conference on Blood Transfusion Medicine, in cooperation and coordination with the Arab Authority for Blood Transfusion Services. The conference, held from 30 November to 2 December in the State of Qatar.

Arab Ministerial Council for Electricity launches Arab Common Market for Electricity

​The General Secretariat of the League of Arab States inaugurated the Arab Common Electricity Market in a historic event that underscores the depth of joint Arab cooperation in the energy sector. The occasion took place during the 15th session of the Arab Ministerial Council for Electricity, attended by the Ministers of Electricity and Energy from Jordan, Bahrain, Tunisia, Syria, Palestine, Lebanon, and Egypt. The launch of the Arab Common Electricity Market marks a strategic milestone in advancing Arab integration in the electricity sector. The agreement was signed by the United Arab Emirates, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the Republic of Sudan, the Syrian Arab Republic, the State of Palestine, the State of Qatar, the State of Kuwait, the State of Libya, the Arab Republic of Egypt, the Kingdom of Morocco, and the Republic of Yemen.

General Secretariat organises an event on Strengthening Women's Mediation to Combat Violence against Women in the Arab Region

The General Secretariat of the League of Arab States, in collaboration with the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) and the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), convened an event on 27 November as part of the global 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence campaign. The event, titled "Strengthening Women's Mediation to Combat Violence against Women in the Arab Region," focused on enhancing the role of women mediators in addressing violence against women within the Arab region.  
The 16 Days of Activism is an international campaign aimed at raising awareness and combating violence against women and girls. It begins on 25 November
