​In cooperation with the African-Middle Eastern Society of Gastroenterology, the Arab Fund for Technical Assistance to African Countries (AFTAC) has launched eighteen (18) specialised training courses in gastroenterology and colonoscopy for 130 African medical students in their final year of study at medical schools in the Arab Republic of Egypt. The courses are held on the sidelines of the 23rd Scientific Conference of the Egyptian Research Society for the Study of Liver and Digestive Diseases, taking place from 28 to 30 May in Egypt.

General Secretariat organises training programme for a delegation of diplomats from Saudi Foreign Ministry

The programme was held from 25 to 29 May at the headquarters of the General Secretariat.

​The 23rd Meeting of the Arab Group for Monitoring International Environmental Agreements on Biodiversity and Combating Desertification concluded its proceedings, which were held from 18 to 22 May at the headquarters of the League of Arab States. The meeting brought together representatives from Arab countries' ministries responsible for biodiversity and desertification, alongside delegates from Arab, regional, and international organisations.

​The 20th Session of the Senior Officials' Meeting of the China-Arab States Cooperation Forum and the 9th Session of the Strategic Political Dialogue were convened under the joint chairmanship of Mr. Omar Kadri, Director of Asian and Oceanian Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation, and Moroccans Abroad of the Kingdom of Morocco; Mr. Chen Weiqing, Director-General of the Department of West Asia and North Africa at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of China; and His Excellency Ambassador Khalid bin Mohammed Manzalawi, Assistant Secretary-General for International Political Affairs at the League of Arab States.
